Taliban bans women from working as TV anchors in Afghanistan

Officials from the Taliban-formed government in Afghanistan have banned women from working as news anchors and presenters on television. Report informs via the Hasht-e Subh newspaper that the decree was issued by the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, stating that the appearance of women on television screens is a "provocation for men".
The ministry has sent a warning to all media outlets, demanding compliance with the new directive. However, representatives of the radical movement have not yet commented on the newspaper's report.
