The interim Taliban government of Afghanistan has appointed a new staff of the Afghan Consulate General in Istanbul, the Foreign Ministry in the interim Taliban government said, Report informs via TASS.
"The presence of thousands of Afghan refugees in Istanbul raises the importance of this city and encourages representatives of the Afghan government to provide all necessary services with due transparency," the statement said.
On Sunday, the Taliban also appointed new diplomats from among their representatives to the Afghan embassy in Tehran, headed by Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Fazl Mohammad Haqqani.
On August 15, 2021, the Taliban entered Kabul without a fight, and President Ashraf Ghani left the republic. On September 7, the radicals announced the composition of the interim government, the legitimacy of which has not yet been recognized by any country.
