A Paris Court of Appeal has upheld the decision on Syria's former Vice President Rifaat al-Assad, the uncle of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
In mid 2020, the first instance sentenced Assad to four years in prison after convicting him of money laundering and the misappropriation of Syrian government funds.
The court of appeal also agreed with the previous charges.
