Strong earthquake strikes off Japan's coast

A 5.6‑magnitude earthquake has been recorded off the eastern coast of Honshu Island, Japan, according to the Euro‑Mediterranean Seismological Centre, Report informs.

The epicenter was located 225 km south of Ishinomaki city, which has a population of about 117,000, at a depth of 10 km.

No reports of casualties or damage have been received, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
