The Spanish Congress of Deputies (lower house of parliament) will debate and vote on a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on March 21-22, Report informs referring to TASS.
The motion of no confidence in the Cabinet was initiated by the far-right Vox party.
According to the country’s constitution, the parliament “may raise the question of the political responsibility of the government by passing a resolution of no confidence by an absolute majority of votes,” that is, at least 176 deputies must vote for the initiative to succeed. The far right has only 52 seats in the national parliament.
