The National Security Council (NSC) of South Korea is set to review a proposal to completely suspend the 2018 inter-Korean military agreement, Report informs.

According to the Yonhap news agency, citing the South Korean presidential administration, the agreement will remain suspended until trust between Seoul and Pyongyang is restored.

The inter-Korean agreement, signed on September 19, 2018, included measures to reduce military tensions, such as establishing buffer zones in border areas. However, in November 2023, South Korea announced a partial withdrawal from the agreement in response to North Korea's launch of reconnaissance satellites.
