Scholz vows to keep his cool amidst Musk's verbal attacks

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has assured that he will maintain his composure in the face of verbal attacks from American entrepreneur Elon Musk directed at him and other German politicians.

According to Report, in an interview with Stern magazine, Scholz stated, "We Social Democrats have been accustomed to wealthy media entrepreneurs who do not value social democratic policies and do not hide their opinions since the 19th century."

The Chancellor acknowledged that the modern world differs in that media conglomerates and platforms have a more global reach.

"But essentially, there is nothing new. One must keep oneself in check here," he said.

Musk had previously called Scholz a "jester" and referred to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as an "anti-democratic tyrant." Scholz retorted, "The Federal President is not an anti-democratic tyrant; Germany is a strong and stable democracy. Musk can claim what he wants here. In Germany, everything depends on the will of the citizens, not the chaotic statements of a billionaire from the USA."

Scholz reported that he does not intend to invite Musk to his office. "I don't consider it necessary to curry favor with Mr. Musk. I leave that to others," he noted.
