Qatar FM: US and Iran not planning direct talks in Doha

US special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are in Doha, Qatar, but will not hold direct meetings with Iranian representatives, stated the spokesperson of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Majed al-Ansari, Report informs via Al Jazeera.
According to him, the American envoys will meet with Qatari mediators and discuss the progress of the negotiation process.
The Qatar MFA spokesperson also stated that the frozen Iranian assets amounting to $6 billion have not yet been transferred to Tehran.
The negotiations between the US and Iran will be held in Doha on June 30.
