Poll: 80% of French people are dissatisfied with current prime minister

Eighty per cent of the French are dissatisfied with the current Prime Minister Francois Bayrou, which is a record among all heads of government since the beginning of the observation history in 1958, according to the results of a survey by the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP), Report informs.

Only 20% of respondents are satisfied with Bayrou.

As noted, the politician is associated with inaction among the country's residents and is at the center of a scandal over the concealment of sexual abuse of students at the prestigious Notre-Dame-de-Bettaram Catholic school.

The survey was conducted online from June 18 to 26 among 2,000 French people over the age of 18. The margin of error is 1-2.2 percentage points.
