Peru cuts diplomatic relations with Iran

The government of Peru has decided to sever diplomatic relations with Iran.
According to Report, the country's Foreign Ministry issued a statement declaring: "The Government of the Republic of Peru has decided to cut diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
The ministry explained that the decision is linked to the situation in the Middle East and Iran's actions in the Strait of Hormuz.
It also emphasized that the suspension of diplomatic ties does not affect consular relations, which will continue.
