Merkel: You can't ignore Turkey

As a NATO country, Turkey plays a pivotal role for the European Union in preventing illegal migration, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"You can't wave off Turkey since this country has big goals. There is frustration in relationships. Although positions differ on key issues, a pragmatic approach is needed. We must continue the dialogue with each other," Merkel noted.
