A magnitude-5.1 offshore earthquake occurred in the Philippine Sea off eastern Taiwan on April 21, Report informs via Crisis24.
The epicenter was about 58 km south of Hualien City, Hualien County. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 10 km, and light shaking was probably felt across Taiwan.
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.Aftershocks are likely over the coming days. The event has not prompted any tsunami advisories.
