Macron backs US plan for Gaza conflict resolution

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his support for the plan outlined by US President Joe Biden to cease hostilities and resolve the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, according to Report.
In a post on the social media X, Macron stated, "The war in Gaza must end. We support the US proposal for a comprehensive agreement."
The French leader also called for the release of hostages and a permanent ceasefire to achieve peace and progress in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the peaceful coexistence of two states.
The proposed agreement includes a 6-week ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops from all populated areas of the Gaza Strip.
