Kyiv and Madrid agree on training Ukrainian military personnel

Spain and Ukraine signed an agreement today on the training of Ukrainian military personnel, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on social media following his meeting with Spanish counterpart Margarita Robles.
"We discussed key security issues and further strengthening of Ukraine's Defense Forces. We identified priority areas for cooperation that require special attention. Among other things, we focused on deepening industrial cooperation, strengthening air defense systems, and the supply of ammunition and armored vehicles," Umerov said.
He added that Robles presented detailed plans for assisting Ukraine in 2025, and the Spanish side also expressed significant interest in studying Ukraine's experience in modern warfare.
"As a result of the talks, an agreement on the training of Ukrainian military personnel was signed," the post read.
