Klitschko: Curfew duration in Kyiv to be shortened

Starting September 10, the curfew in Kyiv, Ukraine, will be shortened, according to a decision of the Kyiv Defense Council, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced, Report informs via Ukrainian media outlets.

"The curfew will be in effect from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. (currently from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.). Thus, the curfew duration will be reduced by 60 minutes," Klitschko said.

He explained that the decision was made in line with government policy and several urban initiatives related to the functioning of city services under deteriorating security conditions.

As a result, public transport schedules in the capital will be extended by one hour.

At the same time, the operating hours of catering establishments, entertainment venues, and shopping and leisure centers will remain unchanged.
