Japan to hold crown prince proclamation ceremonies in November

The Japanese government decided to hold a ceremony to mark the proclamation of Prince Akishino as heir to the throne in mid-November, Report says, citing Kyodo.
The Rikkoshi no Rei ceremonies, initially scheduled for April, has been postponed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak and restrictions on organizing mass events.
Prince Akishino, 54, is the younger brother of Japan's new Emperor Naruhito, who ascended the throne on May 1, 2019, after his father voluntarily resigned. Akishino was now first in line to the throne.
