Iraqi authorities have set a September 30 deadline for Iran-backed groups operating in the country to hand over their weapons.
Report informs, citing Al Jazeera, that a spokesperson for the Iraqi government said this at a press conference.
According to sources, some of these groups, most of which are part of the Popular Mobilization Forces, carried out strikes on US facilities in Iraq during the first weeks of the US-Israeli operation against Iran.
