IAEA Director General calls for immediate measures to reduce threat to Zaporizhzhia NPP

The IAEA recorded new attacks on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on Monday and Tuesday, in connection with which the director general of the organization, Rafael Grossi, called for immediate measures to reduce the threat to the nuclear facility.

Report informs citing TASS that the press service of the organization issued a corresponding statement on Tuesday.

“This week’s shelling and explosions at the ZNPP site come after a few days without any such incidents. They show that the overall situation remains precarious and that immediate action is needed to reduce the risk of a major accident at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, now located in the middle of a war zone,” Director General Grossi said.
