Helicopter with six on board disappears from radar near Mount Everest in Nepal

A helicopter carrying five tourists on a sightseeing trip to Mount Everest has gone missing, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said, Report informs, citing local press.
The helicopter was returning to the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning after bringing the five tourists on a visit to the world’s highest peak when it lost contact with operators on the ground.
A search effort was underway involving another helicopter in the skies and police and soldiers on the ground. Much of the mountainous area is only accessible on foot with no roads.
It has been reported that the helicopter was lost from radar after departing from the mountainous Solukhumbu district in eastern Nepal.
