German authorities to ease pandemic-related entry rules from June 1

Amid a decrease in coronavirus incidence, the German authorities plan to soften the rules for entering the country from June 1 for the summer period, German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said, Report informs citing TASS.
“We will suspend the 3G rule (according to which access in many industries is limited to those vaccinated with Western vaccines, those who have been ill and who have tested negative for coronavirus - ed.) upon entry until the end of August,” Lauterbach said.
From June 1, returning travelers and other arrivals will no longer need to prove they have been vaccinated, ill or tested.
