The European Union is considering the implementation of secondary sanctions against Russia, similar to those already imposed by the United States, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said at a briefing ahead of an informal meeting of EU defense ministers in Copenhagen, Report informs via Interfax.
"We are working on a new package of measures, and several options are on the table. Of course, sanctions targeting Russia"s energy sector and, for example, secondary sanctions like those applied by the Americans, would have a significant impact," Kallas noted.
