COVID-19 Cases Exceed 10,000 in Morocco

Morocco’s Ministry of Health has confirmed 102 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 10,079 as of 10 a.m. on June 22, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
The ministry announced 35 new recoveries. Thus, the total recovery count has now reached 8,316. Morocco is under a state of emergency until July 10.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 9,064,000 globally, resulting in more than 4,849,000 recoveries and over 470,000 deaths.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
