China sees over 80,000 COVID-related deaths in two months

More than 80,000 people have died in Chinese hospitals due to the coronavirus infection since December 8, 2022, after easing anti-COVID restrictions, Report informs, citing the Center for Disease Prevention and Control of the People's Republic of China.
According to the center, from December 8, 2022, to February 2, 2023, 82,238 people died from COVID in China. The death of patients occurred due to respiratory failure caused by a coronavirus or an exacerbation of other diseases.
