Australia to allocate over $30M to purchase weapons for Ukraine

Australia has announced financial assistance exceeding $32 million to bolster Ukraine's defense, according to the Australian government and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.
Ahead of the second anniversary of Russia's invasion, the Australian government will provide a grant of $50 million Australian dollars (over $32 million USD) to the International Fund for Ukraine. These funds are designated for the procurement of critical military equipment.
The International Fund for Ukraine is administered by the Ministry of Defense of Britain, with contributions from partners utilized for the acquisition of military gear.
Australia emphasized its commitment to continue training Ukrainian military personnel under a program conducted in Britain. Additionally, Australia has provided Germany with the E-7A Wedgetail aircraft to safeguard vital logistical routes.
The government further stated that it has provided up to $960 million in assistance since the onset of full-scale war, with $780 million allocated to support the Ukrainian army.
