Ammonia leak prompts emergency declaration in US city

A state of emergency has been declared in the city of Troy, Missouri, following a leak of anhydrous ammonia at a facility.
According to Report, citing First Alert 4, residents of nearby areas were evacuated. The evacuation has been completed, but specialists continue working to contain the leak.
One facility employee was taken to hospital. No information has been provided about the employee"s condition.
Classes at local schools are continuing, while students and staff have been instructed to remain inside the buildings. Some bus routes may be altered.
