During the raid carried out on Tuesday, "our units arrested nine terrorists in the Bankilare, Torodi and Tounga sectors in the same region, and seized a large batch of materials," the army said in a newsletter.
Located in the "three borders" region (Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso), Abdou Gangani village has become a new source of insecurity in the far southwest of the country, under the threat of jihadist groups in recent years.
