Azerbaijan’s Military Prosecution Office: For centuries, Armenians have committed attrocities in systematic and planned manner

For centuries, Armenians have systematically committed atrocities, guided by nationalism and the ideology of hatred against the neighboring Turkish people, in order to achieve their evil intentions, Emil Taghiyev, head of the Special Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office, told Report.

The head of the department said that the Armenians have gradually occupied 10,000 square kilometers of Azerbaijani territory, deported 100,000 Azerbaijanis from their native lands, and artificially created various territorial units, including the Armenian state, in the occupied territories.

According to him, about 20,000 Azerbaijanis were killed as a result of war crimes against humanity committed by Armenian nationalists at the end of the 20th century alone: “More than 19,000 people were injured, 877 cities, villages, and settlements were looted, destroyed, and burned. Over 600 historical cultural monuments were destroyed, moveable historical monuments were taken to Armenia and later sold in different countries of the world, more than 1 million people were forcibly displaced, and our lands were occupied.”
