Tbilisi hosts OSCE regional media conference

Tbilisi. 18 July. REPORT.AZ/ On July 18, Tbilisi hosted the next international conference entitled "Regional Media Freedom" organized by the OSCE Media Freedom Office and with the financial support of the German government.

Georgia bureau of Report News Agency informs, two-day session will focus on the main principles of media freedom, main tasks in this field, journalists 'safety, journalistic ethics, journalists' responsibilities in delivering accurate, impartial and comprehensive information to society and other issues.

Speaking at the conference, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev said in the interview to the Georgian bureau that the conference will focus on media freedom, media development and projects implemented in Azerbaijan.

Moreover, the conference will focus on cases of abuse of press freedom and conduct of biased information and campaigns against OSCE member states, including Azerbaijan, under colour of media freedom.

Representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and other countries, MPs, media representatives are attending the conference.
