UNICEF Deputy Representative: Scale of destruction in Karabakh is immense

Every visit to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan makes it clear that much is yet to be done for their recovery as the scale of destruction is just immense, Deputy Representative of UNICEF William Abi Abdallah said in Aghdam during the annual high-level strategic consultations between the government of Azerbaijan and UN's local offices.

William Abi Abdallah noted that UNICEF is cooperating with Azerbaijan in a number of projects.

He said UNICEF is ready to support Azerbaijan in solving the problem of selective abortions, as well as fighting domestic volence.

These issues are also on the agenda of cooperation with Azerbaijan, William Abi Abdallah said.
