The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources organized a media tour to the liberated Jabrayil region.
According to the Report's correspondent in Jabrayil, during the visit, the journalists inspected the destroyed green areas in Boyuk Marjanli and Amirvarli and witnessed the atrocities committed by Armenian vandals.
Mehman Nabiyev, sector director of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, spoke about the 800-year-old Oriental plane tree in Amirvarli village.
He said that the tree received special protection status in 1974:
"During the occupation, the Armenians destroyed the Oriental plane tree. There were 35 trees in Gubadli, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, and Zangilan regions. In all these regions, the Armenians destroyed them."
