Zhaparov highlights Azerbaijan's role in Middle Corridor

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov has highlighted Azerbaijan's strategic role as one of the key links in the Middle Corridor connecting Central Asia with European markets, Report's correspondent informs from Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking at a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Zhaparov said the two leaders paid special attention to transport corridors during their talks.
"We paid special attention to transport corridors and noted Azerbaijan's important role as one of the key links in the Middle Corridor connecting Central Asia with European markets. We also discussed promising areas of cooperation in the energy sector and opportunities for implementing joint projects," he said.
Zhaparov also praised the effective cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan within international organizations.
The Kyrgyz president added that he had invited Aliyev to attend the opening ceremony of the Sixth World Nomad Games, the SCO Plus Summit, and the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25," scheduled to take place in Bishkek on October 21–23, 2027.
