WB to publish results of Middle Corridor’s potential study in December

The World Bank has conducted an extensive study of the potential of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route), Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Tahir Mirkishili said at today’s committee meeting, Report informs.

“I think that next month the bank will present preliminary results of the study. But preliminary figures have already been announced, according to which the growth potential of the Middle Corridor will more than triple by 2030. This means that Azerbaijan in the future will be able to receive sufficient income through foreign economic relations as well. This, in fact, is one of the factors that will increase budget revenues in the next three and subsequent years,” Mirkishili noted.
