TDK-Logistics to reduce cost of goods for Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku, together with the Trade House of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan, has opened a new logistics division of TDK-Logistics, Report informs, citing the embassy.

The new structure was presented with the participation of representatives of the state bodies of Azerbaijan and business circles of the two countries.

General Director of the Trading House Rufat Rzayev noted that the optimization of logistics solutions is one of the priority tasks for increasing mutual trade turnover.

"We encountered this when we calculated the cost of products such as food and consumer goods. And the conclusion was that in order to reduce the total cost of goods, increase the competitiveness of manufactured products and reduce import dependence, it is necessary to optimize transportation costs for both exporters and importers in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," he noted.

"In this regard, we began to look for solutions by monitoring the goods that move between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and began to offer entrepreneurs to schedule deliveries in such a way that they can avoid empty containers," he said.

"Thus, all participants in this supply chain will benefit, and exporters and importers will reduce the cost of shipping their products. And, as a result, by reducing the total cost of goods, they will become more accessible to the end consumer."

The participants noted that the creation of the Zangazur corridor opens up new opportunities for unlocking the growing potential of the Caspian port infrastructure of the two countries.
