SOCAR management attended opening of bridge in Shamakhi region

Baku. 8 October. REPORT.AZ/ Today opening ceremony of the bridge was held in Demirchi village, over the river of same name of Shamakhi region, Azerbaijan.

Report informs, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev and Vice President Khalik Mammadov, BP-Azerbaijan President Gordon Birrell, Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, Head of Shamakhi region Executive Power Asif Aghayev and representatives of the local community attended the ceremony.

Holding a meeting with the residents, R.Abdullayev said that construction of the bridge was carried out under the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev: "The villages, settled by you will be also improved soon. Even will be more beautiful than Lahij. So, your village will be visited by more tourists".

SOCAR President said that according to the instructions of the head of state, entire infrastructure of the villages of Shamakhi region will be renewed: "Roofs of all the houses, gates, power and gas lines will be renewed".

Notably, the bridge, built over Demirchi river, will connect 3 villages of Shamakhi, which population consists of about 1 000 people, with the regional center.
