Shahmar Movsumov: Creation of urban centers important for achieving sustainable dev't goals

The creation of urban centers is fundamental to achieving sustainable development goals, Assistant to the President, Head of the Department for Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, Shahmar Movsumov, said at a forum organized in Baku as part of World Habitat Day, Report informs.

According to him, sustainable settlement is of great importance for the planet: “The importance of settlement erases demographic boundaries. This issue is also important for Azerbaijan. The creation of urban centers is fundamental to achieving sustainable development goals. I am confident that this event will contribute to the development of productive cooperation in the future."

The events on the occasion of World Habitat Day are organized by the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan together with UN-HABITAT, as part of the Urban Planning Week 2023.
