The Federal Air Transport Agency "Rosaviation" has issued permits to three airlines to operate seven flights from various cities of Russia to Azerbaijan.

Report informs referring to the Federal Air Transport Agency's statement that Azur Air, North Wind, and IrAero airlines have received admission to flights to Azerbaijan.

According to the decision, IrAero Airlines received admission to operate flights Moscow-Fuzuli and Moscow-Zagatala, each to be performed twice a week.

In addition, Azur Air received admission to operate flights from four Russian cities to Baku: Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Kazan, each twice a week.

Meanwhile, North Wind is permitted to operate the Sochi-Baku flight with a frequency of 7 times a week.

The Federal Air Transport Agency also notes that the decision to issue these approvals is not a basis or a decision to resume flights on international routes specified in the order. Admission is the right of the airline, which it can use when flights resume.

The first plane landed at Fuzuli airport on September 5, 2021, and the first official delegation arrived at the airport on October 5. On October 15, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed an order to assign international status to the airport in Fuzuli. The official opening of the Fuzuli International Airport took place on October 26 with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Fuzuli international airport, called the air gate of Karabakh, is built at the most advanced level. The airport can accept aircraft of any type. Its runway is 3,000 long and 60 meters wide. Equipped with modern infrastructure, the airport terminal can handle at least 200 passengers per hour.
