Over 180 fumigation certificate applications processed through Single Window system

More than 180 requests for the issuance of fumigation certificates (phytosanitary treatment acts) have been received and processed through the new Single Window system, according to Ehtiram Guliyev, the project manager of the Digital Logistics Platform (DLP), Report informs.

Guliyev made this statement during the official presentation of the Single Window information system. He noted that despite the official launch of the platform today, several services have been available to users since April.

"During this period, we received over 180 applications for fumigation certificates from more than 60 companies," Guliyev said. "According to feedback from users, a process that used to take two to three hours before digitalization is now completed in just seven to eight minutes. Additionally, more than 60 export customs declarations have been received from over 10 companies to date."

Guliyev also noted that to increase transparency in foreign economic activity, there are plans to introduce a Unique Consignment Reference (UCR) in line with World Customs Organization standards. This identifier will allow business entities and state agencies to track all information regarding export, import, and transit operations through a unified mechanism.

Furthermore, the functionality of the platform will be expanded in the future through the integration of artificial intelligence and optical character recognition (OCR) technologies, he added.
