New road to liberated Lachin under consturction

"The construction of a 23-kilometer road has begun in the liberated Lachin district, without entering the city," said Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Operation and Maintenance of the Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Agency Hidayat Rustamov.

According to him, the alternative new road has two lanes.

"Currently, the road to Lachin is under the control of peacekeepers. For this purpose, we have launched a ring road bypassing the city to ensure smooth traffic. New projects in this direction are expected in the future."
