Guinea-Bissau is preparing to launch a new, large-scale program aimed at redeveloping public spaces both in the capital and inland, José Carlos Esteves, Guinea-Bissau's Minister of Public Works, Housing, and Urban Planning, said during a ministerial roundtable discussion at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, according to Report.
"The government is also taking its own steps to stimulate large-scale housing construction in cities. As part of this program, major infrastructure projects and water treatment facilities are being built. Furthermore, we are expanding green spaces and constructing new residential buildings to meet the needs of citizens and improve their quality of life," the minister emphasized.
