Underground schools have been created in Ukraine's Kharkiv so that students can continue their education, stated Mariia Kostenko, National Advisor on Urban Resilience, Infrastructure and Housing Strengthening in Ukraine at the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs
According to her, in addition to this, underground shelters have been created in three schools.
"Thanks to these projects, about 3,000 students and teachers can continue the traditional educational process. After the airstrikes, Kharkiv universities are also being restored. At Karazin University, damaged windows have been renovated, and support has also been provided to Kharkiv National University of Arts named after Kotlyarevsky."
