Europe's busiest airports revealed

Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe, with over 36.98 million passengers, in 2021, Airports Council International (ACI) Europe said, Report informs via Anadolu.
Passenger traffic at European airports increased by 37% last year, while in 2020, amidst the first stages of the pandemic, this figure decreased by 59% compared to 2019.
According to ACI Europe, the highest number of passengers in 2021 was served by the airports of Turkey and Russia.
After the Istanbul Airport, Sheremetyevo in Moscow is recognized as the busiest - 30,943,456 passengers, the third - Charles de Gaulle in Paris - 26,201,698 passengers, the fourth - Amsterdam Schiphol and the fifth - Domodedovo in Moscow.
