Construction of new highway from Baku to Iranian border nears complition

The construction of the final section of the new Alat-Astara-Iran state border highway is about to be completed, the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads said, Report informs.

The project covers the 3.05 km-section starting from the 204th kilometer of the Alat-Astara-Islamic Republic of Iran state border highway.

The width of the road, built in accordance with technical grade I, is 26.5 meters.

According to the information, the construction works were carried out taking into account the complex geological conditions of the area.
