Baku Transport Agency warns passengers

Despite the state's preventive and sanitary awareness measures, we observe cases that are conducive to the spread of the infection in enclosed places, especially in catering establishments and public transport, Baku Transport Agency told Report.

According to the Agency, the people do not use medical masks at bus stops, in the territory of transport exchange centers, and while traveling by bus.

Such socially irresponsible behaviors are unsafe in terms of the organization of passenger transport. The current situation significantly increases the risk of infection among drivers and dispatchers, which, in turn, inevitably leads to the closure of routes.

Noting the inadmissibility of such cases, we once again urge passengers to be socially responsible. We state that the guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in public transport must be followed unequivocally.

Under the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the use of masks in public transport is mandatory.
