On October 6, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) started using airspace over Armenia for domestic flights on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route, Report informs, citing the company.
This step demonstrates Azerbaijan's determination to open transport communications in the region and meets the interests of all border states.
The change in the route of the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku flight will also lead to a reduction in flight time and fuel consumption during the flight.
From now on, AZAL will be able to use all existing air corridors, including the corridors passing through Armenia and Iran, for this flight.
