Agricultural lands in Karabakh, Eastern Zangazur to be leased via investment competitions

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the "Law on Land Lease."

According to Report, under the revised law, agricultural lands in Azerbaijan's liberated territories (Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic regions) will be leased to business entities through investment competitions. These competitions will follow procedures set by the relevant executive authority.

Additionally, agricultural lands near residential areas within villages and settlements where people have resettled will be leased on preferential terms to local residents for annual and perennial crops, in line with procedures established by the relevant executive authority.
