Groundbreaking ceremony of bus and truck manufacture plant held in Hajigabul

A groundbreaking ceremony of bus and truck manufacture plant of Azermash Industry LLC has today been held in Hajigabul with the participation of Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev and Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Reza Rahmani.

The project costs EUR 10 million. Azermash holds 25%, Kartal AZ LLC – 75%. EUR 6 million of the funds will be allocated in the first stage, EUR 4 million in the second stage.

The plant will produce 500 buses and trucks at the initial stage. This figure will gradually reach 1,000.

The enterprise will cover 5 hectares and hire 100 employees. The number of employees will gradually reach 200.

The required technological equipment will be brought from Sweden, Turkey and Germany. The price of buses will be EUR 135,000-200,000, trucks – EUR 70,000-90,000. The products will mainly be exported to CIS, Central Asian countries, Iran and Pakistan.

Currently, the Iranian and Azerbaijani delegations are holding bilateral meetings in Hajigabul Industrial District.
