Baku. 3 August. REPORT.AZ/ 2-fold Olympic champion of former USSR, 3-time world champion kayakist Antonina Seredina died
Report informs former athletes and coaches died at the age of 86.
Seredina from the city of Tver, Russia, in 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome in 1-person and 2-person boat won a gold medal at a distance of 500 meters. She also won bronze medal in 1968 Mexico City Olympics, won bronze at the same distance in the same boat.
She is a three-time world champion, eight times European champion, 15-times champion of the USSR. In 1960 A.Seredinu recognized as the best athlete of the USSR, and in 1970 - the best coach of the USSR.
