Baku. 27 April. REPORT.AZ/ Baku has today hosted an opening ceremony of new building of National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA).

Report informs, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee of the National Assembly Fuad Muradov and other officials attended the event.

The minister met with AMADA staff and congratulated them noting that they have a very responsible job. According to him, future of Azerbaijan has nothing to do with doping: “I wish you to lose your job. I mean, not to have a work to do. However, sometimes we see injustice in the fight against doping. We also must fight against it. Your first job should be with the federations”.

He noted that a relevant law was adopted by parliament and all conditions were created for activity of the organization. Minister wished success to the staff of AMADA.

Ch. Huseynzade said that though AMADA was created a little late, there is a great confidence in its successful functioning: “Better late than never. I don’t believe employees of AMADA will be out of work. Because whole world fights against doping."

Notably, AMADA was founded on December 23, 2016. The organization has started to operate on February 17, 2017.

The agency's staff includes 13 employees and 21 doping control inspectors.
