"Before the examination, we studied the medical death certificates. During the external examination of Huseyn Safarov's body, it was established that he was killed by a blow from a blunt object. During the examination, multiple injuries were found: a fracture of the nasal bones, a deformation of the chest, a bruise around the eyes measuring 14x12 cm. Bruises were also found on the mucous membrane of the upper and lower lips, in the right and left areas of the forehead, two bruises on the back of the chest, on the arms, left leg, and other parts of the body. Multiple bruises were recorded on both thighs, a strip-shaped abrasion on the inner surface of the left thigh, abrasions on the back of the inner surface of the left shin, as well as an abrasion on the left thigh measuring 17 cm long," said Professor Adalat Hasanov.
He added that an internal examination of the body was then conducted.
"We assumed that the damaged areas would be cut out and removed. Internal examination revealed blunt force trauma to the head, hemorrhages in the dura and pia mater of the brain, displaced fractures of the 7th and 8th ribs in the chest. Also found were cuts and lacerations of the liver, hemorrhages in the intercostal muscles and extensive hemorrhages in the diaphragm and in the abdominal cavity as a result of a rupture of the peritoneum," he said.
