Tahir Mirkishili: Azerbaijan will have most favorable tax environment in ICT among region countries

Azerbaijan will have the most favorable tax environment in ICT among the regional countries, Tahir Mirkishili, chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising, said at the plenary meeting held today, Report informs.

He said that tax exemption in the ICT sector is imposed not only in Azerbaijan but also in other countries: “For example, the ICT is taxed at 0% in Ukraine, and at 1% in Georgia and Russia.”

At the same time, the deputy believes that it is wrong to approach this issue only from the point of view of taxation, and there is currently great competition between specialists: “One IT specialist creates four jobs with a multiplier effect. It is the only economic area where it has such a high effect.
